What I Do Expertise & Services

Full-Stack Development & Technology Solutions

Building foundations that last, creating solutions that surface

Web Apps & Native Mobile

I build websites that work everywhere and native mobile apps for iOS and Android. PHP, JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin - whatever gets the job done without making you hate technology.

APIs & Cloud Infrastructure

Need your app to talk to other apps? I speak fluent API. Whether it's AWS, microservices, or just making sure your database doesn't fall over when people actually use it.

Product Development & Leadership

From napkin sketch to actual product people use. I've done the whole journey - startup to acquisition, team of one to team of many, "this might work" to "this definitely works."

Custom AI Development

I build AI systems that actually solve real problems. Whether you need to analyze images, understand text, or predict what happens next - I'll make it work without the hype.

Hi, I'm Tom Peck
The Man Behind the Mole.

Writing code that connects and creates. Fueled by coffee and the Wellington hills.

By day, I work through complex technical challenges, building the digital foundations that make everything else possible. Much of what I do sits behind the interface and is often not seen - but it's the logic that makes it all work. Outside the corporate world, I love helping small businesses bring their ideas to life through code and pixels. For me, the thrill of shipping a new website is the same as crossing a finish line after 100km Ultra or successfully assembling flat-pack furniture with three "helpers" — it's all about turning ideas into reality.

Based in Wellington, New Zealand - working with companies around the world through Molehill Creations.

2024-Present

The Digital Cartographer

International Expansion

Orchestrating distributed teams across continents, turning abstract data into something that makes people's lives easier. The magic happens in the code that connects everything - time zones are just suggestions when you're caffeinated enough.

Continental Coordinator
Data Whisperer
Timezone Juggler
Remote Team Alchemist
2021-2024

The System Whisperer

Corporate Integration

Discovered that big company software is just expensive digital Lego. Spent years translating between humans who speak in spreadsheets and humans who speak in code. The real magic happens in the APIs that nobody sees.

Corporate Translator
Spreadsheet Whisperer
Meeting Room Survivor
Integration Specialist
2019-2021

The Value Alchemist

Business Transformation

Learned that selling a company involves more PowerPoints than actual power. Successfully explained what 'the cloud' means to people who think it's just weather. The real work was in the code that made it all possible.

Cloud Evangelist
PowerPoint Survivor

2012-2019

The Colony Builder

Team Evolution

Evolved from lone code warrior to team builder. Discovered that scaling humans is infinitely harder than scaling servers, but significantly more rewarding. The best code is written by teams who understand each other.

Team Assembler
Scale Navigator
Human Debugger

The Homecoming

Homeward Bound

Sometimes you need to go back to your roots to grow something new. The molehill metaphor became surprisingly literal - small beginnings, solid foundations.

2008-2010

The Wanderer

International Adventure

Crossed oceans to build digital things in a city that rains more than it doesn't. The tech scene made up for the weather, and different codebases taught new ways to solve old problems.

Ocean Crosser
Rain Survivor

The Connection Maker

Solution Builder

Built something that helped people keep track of other people. Sometimes the simplest ideas solve the biggest headaches - it's all in the logic behind the interface.

Solution Architect
Headache Reliever
Logic Pioneer
2001-2006

The Web Pioneer

Early Internet Era

Climbed from junior to 'Head of the Internet Department' - a title so wonderfully 2000s it belongs in a museum. Built things that didn't break, back when that was harder than it sounds.

Department Head
Museum-Worthy Title Holder
Non-Breaking Builder
Y2K Survivor
1999-2000

The First Spark

First Venture

Started fixing computers with friends, accidentally discovered the web, confused more humans than helped. The entrepreneurial bug bit hard - learned that the real magic happens in the code behind the screen.

The Digital Awakening

Digital Discovery

The family adopted a series of increasingly powerful beige boxes. Spent years learning that computers were magic, and programming was learning the spells. What you see on screen is just the beginning - the real magic is in the code.
